Tournament Format
It’s time! The fields are ready, beers are on ice and fingers are crossed for great weather this weekend. If you haven’t already seen this weekends schedule it is posted on our website. Here are some quick things to know about the tourney;
Tournament Overview
- Round Robin games will be Friday and Saturday with playoffs on Sunday
- All teams are scheduled for 3 round robin games
- Tournament games are 1 hour each
- Winning team must submit their score in the Captain’s portal within 1 hour of game end time
- Make sure you know the rules! Some tournament rules are different from the regular season
- BEER TENT: TBD
- The beer tent will run at Lions on Saturday & Sunday
- BRING ID – volunteers may be checking for ID
- Drinking in the parking lot may result in removal from tournament
Groups and Round Robin Format
Teams are divided into groups as follows;
- Group 1A: Div 1 teams ranked 1,2,3,4
- Group 1B: Div 1 teams ranked 5,6,7,8
- Group 2A: Div 2 teams ranked 1,2,3,4,5,6
- Group 2B: Div 2 teams ranked 7,8,9,10,11,12
- Group 3A: Div 3 teams ranked 1,2,3,4
- Group 3B: Div 3 teams ranked 5,6,7,8
Top 2 teams from Groups 1A, 1B, 3A & 3B and top 4 teams from Groups 2A & 2B will advance to Sunday
Playoffs
Playoff match ups are determined as follows:
- Groups 1A and 1B ( 1 vs 2) Winners go to Div 1 Final
- Group 2A (1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3) winners play in 2A final
- Groups 2B (1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3) winners play in 2B final
- Groups 3A and 3B ( 1 vs 2) Winners go to Div 3 Final
